Trophée du Gouverneur général
Le Trophée du Gouverneur général est une compétition interprovinciale masculine à deux équipes, jouée depuis 1874. Les équipes à deux équipes s'affrontent comme une seule équipe en utilisant un système de points cumulatifs pour déterminer le vainqueur du match.
Aujourd'hui, il existe deux éliminatoires, l'une étant celle de l'Ottawa Valley Curling Association et l'autre celle de Curling Québec. Ces équipes se disputent le trophée du Gouverneur général, la finale se jouant traditionnellement à Ottawa.

Gagnants 2025
On February 21, 2026, the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club hosted a prestigious match for the Governor General's Trophy. Representing Quebec was the Pointe Claire Curling Club, while the Cornwall Curling Centre represented the Ottawa Valley. Pointe Claire emerged as the winner. The Governor General’s Trophy is a double rink competition between teams from curling clubs in the Ottawa Valley and Western Quebec, established in 1874.
We were honoured to welcome His Excellency Whit Fraser, the Governor General’s consort, again this year. His Excellency attended in a Team Canada hockey jersey and delivered a brief address, including a toast to Canada and the King.
Dave Stanley served as an excellent master of ceremonies for the evening.
Jim Campbell, past president of the Governor General’s Curling Club, extended a warm welcome to the teams and guests and closed the event.
Bill Woods provided guests with a succinct history of the competition, discussing its origins. The winning team's name will be embroidered onto the event banner, which they may display at their club.
In the women's Lady Tweedsmuir event, the Rideau Curling Club prevailed over the Pointe Claire Curling Club.
